Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love. We love each other because he loved us first. 1 John 4:18-19(NLT)

Our Heavenly Father loves us so much that He sent His Son to die for us. The greatness of His love is incomprehensible.
We can find peace knowing our God not only loves us, but He likes us. Our relationship makes Him glad. He rejoices over us! His love provides us a place of comfort and quiet confidence. There is nothing we can do to would make Him love us less. Even if we fail God, His love will never end.
God’s love gives us the ability to not fear. We do not have to fear His disapproval or His rejection. There is no need to cower in shame when we feel weak. Rather, we can look at our lives in victory because it is His love that carries us. When we begin to worry whether our performance is enough for God, remember we already are more than enough by simply being His child.
Father God, thank You for Your love. Thank You for loving me first, even when I was unable to love You. I praise You for sending Your Son as the example of love. Help me replace my fear with truth. In Jesus’ name, amen.
