‘For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord . “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. ‘ Jeremiah 29:11(NLT)
‘And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. ‘ Romans 8:28(NLT)
‘When I saw him, I fell at his feet as if I were dead. But he laid his right hand on me and said, “Don’t be afraid! I am the First and the Last. I am the living one. I died, but look—I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and the grave.#1:18 Greek and Hades.’ Revelation 1:17-18(NLT)
In moments of fear, we often feel stuck. Many times, our distress over what is to come blinds us from seeing any opportunity for God to work on our behalf.
This was the case for Judah. They had suffered defeat and were removed from their land. Their future was unknown. Through the words of Jeremiah, God promised the nation a future that was far better what they could imagine. It was one that included a restored trust in Him.
In Jeremiah 29:11, we see the character of our God. He is a God who knows our future and crafts plans to prosper us, not to harm us. He has a future planned for us that will increase our faith, draw us closer to Him, and bring glory to His name.

Father God, thank You for showing me in Your Word that You already know the plans You have for me. Help me build my trust for You each day by relying on who You are. Forgive me for the times I doubt Your goodness and Your faithfulness. Thank You for loving me despite my fears. Continue to reveal to me Your purpose for my life in Your timing. In Jesus’ name, amen.
