‘But you see the trouble and grief they cause. You take note of it and punish them. The helpless put their trust in you. You defend the orphans.’ Psalms 10:14 (NLT)
God is intimately connected to us. His own being is affected when we are struggling under the weight of life’s burdens. He carries our griefs and helps us. He doesn’t like seeing us suffer, and he ultimately takes this suffering into himself at the cross of Jesus. He knows the pain of suffering, and longs to see us freed from it. For this, Jesus died. For this, Jesus rose. It is by faith in him that we too have the hope of resurrection and a world without pain and suffering.
Do you have this hope of resurrection?
Prayer: Thank you, God, for knowing our sufferings. Thank you for opening up a path to resurrection and a life without pain. Please bring us there soon. Amen.
