‘O Lord , how long will you forget me? Forever? How long will you look the other way? How long must I struggle with anguish in my soul, with sorrow in my heart every day? How long will my enemy have the upper hand?’ Psalms 13:1-2 (NLT)
Have you ever felt like this? It’s not wrong to ask God questions like these. It’s not a lack of trust but rather the expression of a deep faith when someone can cry out to God asking him where he is. It takes courage to ask these questions, and the person asking expects an answer.
Have you ever felt like God has forgotten or abandoned you? Did you cry out to God like the Psalmist?
Prayer: How long will you hide your face from me, O God? Answer my prayers according to your great wisdom and grace. Amen.
