‘Wash yourselves and be clean! Get your sins out of my sight. Give up your evil ways. Learn to do good. Seek justice. Help the oppressed. Defend the cause of orphans. Fight for the rights of widows.’ Isaiah 1:16-17(NLT)
I keep telling myself to do better, to push through this moment in my life. Will I recall ten years from now how hard this year was?
I know I will remember the small kindnesses expressed by other people. My visual memories will be of the places I have visited and the faces that have appeared along my journey. I will remember the many impressions that have been made on my heart.
Lord, encourage my spirit. When I am tempted to focus on my failings or missed opportunities, remind me that I am precious in Your sight. I am learning to do right by myself and by You.
